Catherine Robinson

Senior Learning Mentor, in a primary school. Over 8 years’ experience working in the pastoral sector in various job roles. Being the Mental Health Champion, Nurture and PSHE Co-ordinatior for my school, has enabled me to have more focus and be an advocate for promoting positive Mental Health and Well-being. Mental Health and Well-being is incredibly important and is the forefront of my career. It is my aim to provide high quality support for those who experience social and emotional challenges and feel they cannot overcome these barriers.

Alongside working in a school – I have set up my own company to practice Drawing and Talking privately: Accept, Adapt, Thrive. Here I am able to use my existing skills and knowledge gained through my career, BA honours degree in Professional and Educational Studies, Foundation degree in Integrated Studies and Care for Children and Young people and my recent Counselling Skills qualification to deliver therapeutic interventions to adults, young people and children (5+).

My qualifications and relevant experience throughout my career, facilitates my confidence and drive, to provide an excellent support service to those in need. I pride myself on having a very nurturing personality; therefore, I am able to bond quickly with others, which helps when others are think they cannot be successful in moving forward. There can be many social and emotional barriers to overcome, having worked in various pastoral roles within the education sector; I have the skills am to adapt swiftly and efficiently in any situation supporting those, whether they be carers, parents or young people with additional needs.
